The Prince Akatoki

A sanctuary of Japanese luxury in the heart of London, The Prince Akatoki required a brand identity that encapsulated its refined hospitality. The brief was to distil this philosophy into a brand identity that could speak fluently across cultures while remaining rooted in authenticity.

A Circular Narrative

Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co. crafted a bespoke brand book to embody the hotel’s spirit – a circular format chosen to echo the rhythm of sunrise and sunset, core to Japanese timekeeping and tradition. this shape guided both structure and symbolism, forming a narrative arc that reflected the hotel’s quiet elegance and deep attention to detail.

Typography was carefully balanced between Japanese and Latin scripts, allowing the two languages to sit in harmony. Intricate motifs were used sparingly, designed to be discovered rather than displayed.

Every touchpoint was designed to feel intentional, immersive, and enduring. In tone, in texture, in tempo, the identity doesn’t speak loudly. It invites stillness. A cinematic brand film brought the story to life – a slow, deliberate visual experience, that mirrored the pace and precision of the hotel itself.

Adẹ̀kọ́ & Co. created a brand that reflects the beauty of balance- between cultures, between moments, between light and dark.
